Deer vs. Turkey, and other random-ness.

So today, me and my brother were outside in our backyard (which I should mention is like a freaking animal sanctuary) watching a turkey meander around, when we noticed that a deer was approaching it. The turkey didn't seem fazed by the ever-nearing deer, and just stood there until finally, the deer was right next to it. Obviously curious, the deer sniffed the turkey's neck, and when the turkey didn't do anything, the deer continued snuffling it's back, and it looked almost like it was preening it! This was almost unbearably cute, but what happened next was one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed. The deer started doing this playful prancing around thing, and then raised one of it's legs and BOPPED THE TURKEY!!!! The turkey fluffed up it's wings, scaring away the deer, and then scampered off, and by this time, both me and my brother were in hysterics!

Ohmygosh it was funny. I think you probably had to be there to even comprehend how funny it was, but believe me, it was funny.

In other news:I recently read Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult, which is about five-year-old Willow who was born with Osteogenisis Imperfecta. Her parents question suing for wrongful birth, and it's quite gripping at some parts. But at others, the details seem to drag the storyline down, making reading it feel like slogging through wet concrete. Some parts really upset me and then left me feeling depressed for awhile. However, I still liked the book. I loved it, even enough to buy it! Reading it also led me to frantically research Osteogenisis Imperfecta- which sparks my curiosity in a major way. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in medical conditions, or wrongful birth lawsuits.

I would have loved to have seen that! If you are ever able to take and post nature pics, please do! They would be wonderful.

Ever since i read My Sister's Keeper i've wanted to read more of Jodi Picoult--so I will read that one next! And the deer/turkey thing sounds very adorable and funny. Reminds me of Bambi
